NCAA Game Summary - Drexel at James Madison

Harrisonburg, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ron Curry led all scorers with 18 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer late in overtime, as the James Madison Dukes edged the Drexel Dragons in overtime, 61-58, in a Colonial Athletic Association matchup at the JMU Convocation Center.

Charles Cooke had 13 points for the Dukes (11-17, 6-8 CAA), who have won three of their last four games. Andre Nation chipped in 12 points, while Tom Vodanovich brought down 11 rebounds.

Frantz Massenat finished with 15 points for the Dragons (14-12, 6-7), who have lost two of their last three contests. Chris Fouch added 13 points, Tavon Allen tallied 11 points, and Dartaye Ruffin cleared 11 boards.

Drexel made just 26.9 percent of its shots from the field in the first half, but it still led at intermission, 23-16. JMU shot a dreadful 17.9 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, including 1-of-10 from 3-point range.

The Dukes got hot in the second frame, as they drained 62.5 percent of their field goal tries. After a back-and-forth period, the Dragons tied the game up at 50 with six seconds left on a Rodney Williams dunk. JMU failed to attempt a shot before time expired and the game went to overtime.

The contest was tied at 58 in the final minute of overtime before Curry drained the game-winning trey with eight seconds to go. JMU put the game out of reach after Nation had a 2-of-2 trip to the line with four seconds left, making Massenat's last-second 3-pointer meaningless for the Dragons.

JMU held a 45-36 rebounding advantage on the evening.
