NCAA Game Summary - Saint Joseph's at St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Led by 27 points and eight rebounds from Langston Galloway, the St. Joseph's Hawks took down the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 83-74, in an Atlantic 10 Conference battle at the Reilly Center.

DeAndre Bembry added 18 points for the Hawks (21-7, 11-3 A-10), who have won their last six games. Ronald Roberts scored 15 points, Isaiah Miles finished with 11 points and Halil Kanacevic swatted five blocks in the win.

Losers of three in a row, the Bonnies (16-13, 6-9) were led by Matthew Wright with 27 points, while Marquise Simmons finished with 13 points, Charlon Kloof chipped in with 11 points and five assists, and Youssou Ndoye scored 10.

St Joseph's shot 46.4 percent from the field, including 6-of-15 from 3-point range, as the Hawks took a 40-35 lead at halftime. St. Bonaventure hit on 45.2 percent from the field but only 2-of-5 from beyond the arc in the first half.

After the break, the Hawks had the hot hand, knocking down a scorching 63.6 percent of their field goal tries. The Bonnies struggled from the field after intermission, making just 40 percent of their shots from the field, including 2-of-8 from deep. The Bonnies opened the second half on a 10-4 run to take the lead early in the period. Down 47-46 with five minutes gone in the half, the Hawks scored eight straight points and never trailed again, as they hung on for the victory and continued their strong play.

The Hawks had the decided advantage on the perimeter, outscoring the Bonnies 24-12 from 3-point distance. The Hawks also outrebounded the Bonnies, 33-27.
