NCAA Game Summary - Arkansas at Alabama

Tuscaloosa, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Trevor Releford pumped in a game-high 24 points as the Alabama Crimson Tide completed an 83-58 rout of the Arkansas Razorbacks in a Southeastern Conference tilt at Coleman Coliseum.

Shannon Hale added 18 points for the Crimson Tide (13-18, 7-10 SEC) and Levi Randolph contributed 10 points. Jimmie Taylor tallied 10 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes before fouling out.

Rashad Madden led Arkansas (21-10, 10-8) with 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the floor. Bobby Portis chipped in 17 points as the Razorbacks had their six-game winning snapped.

Alabama wasted no time taking control as it knocked down 55.5 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half en route to a 39-16 lead at the intermission. The Razorbacks were limited to 4-of-23 shooting from the floor in the opening period.

The Crimson Tide continued to light up the scoreboard after the break as they shot 53.8 percent from the floor and converted 13-of-15 shots at the charity stripe. Arkansas was outscored by two points over the final 20 minutes despite its 7-of-13 clip from 3-point range in the second stanza.

Alabama held a dominant, 41-25, edge in the rebounding battle and outscored Arkansas, 42-6, in the paint.
