NCAA Game Summary - Northwestern at Purdue

West Lafayette, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Drew Crawford tallied 27 points and seven rebounds, as the Northwestern Wildcats ended the regular season on a high note with a 74-65 road victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in Big Ten Conference action at Mackey Arena.

Crawford shot 6-of-13 from the field and knocked down 13-of-14 at the foul line for Northwestern (13-18, 6-12 Big Ten), which had lost its previous seven games. Alex Olah chipped in 14 points for the visitors, while Tre Demps logged 10 points and five assists.

For Purdue (15-16, 5-13), A.J. Hammons and Rapheal Davis both netted 13, with Davis adding nine rebounds. Terone Johnson scored 10 for the Boilermakers, who have lost six straight heading into the conference tournament.

Although Northwestern shot just 34.4 percent from the field in the first half, it held Purdue to a dreadful 5-of-26 showing (.192), as it carried a 28-21 lead into intermission.

The Wildcats used a 9-2 run early in the second half to separate themselves further and kept the Boilermakers at bay by shooting 22-of-28 from the free- throw line over the final 20 minutes.

Northwestern won the turnover battle, 11-6, and outscored Purdue from 3-point range, 21-12.
