NCAA Game Summary - Texas A&M at Missouri

Columbia, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - With seven seconds remaining on the clock in regulation, Earnest Ross connected on a pair of free throws to give his Missouri Tigers the lead and the eventual 57-56 win over the Texas A&M Aggies in a Southeastern Conference showdown at Mizzou Arena.

Ross finished the game with just seven points and five rebounds, but with the two biggest free throws of the night for Missouri (21-9, 9-8 SEC). Jabari Brown led all Tigers with 20 points, while Jordan Clarkson notched 14 points in the win. Missouri has won back-to-back games with one contest remaining on the regular-season slate.

Jamal Jones scored 16 points to pace Texas A&M (17-13, 8-9). Alex Caruso tallied 13 points and four assists, and Kourtney Roberson chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds in the loss. The Aggies have dropped two of their past three contests.

Texas A&M shot 41.4 percent from the floor in the first half, including 5- of-13 from 3-point range, and took a 30-20 lead into the intermission. Missouri connected on a dismal 26.9 percent from the field in the period, and went just 1-of-8 from 3-point distance.

The Tigers made the run in the second half to come back by hitting 42.9 percent of their field goal tries in the frame, adding 19-of-23 from the free- throw line. The Aggies improved to 47.6 percent shooting in the half, but missed all five 3-point attempts and went just 6-of-8 from the charity stripe. Texas A&M took a one-point lead with 16 seconds left to play before Ross was given a trip to the foul line with seven ticks left to play.

Missouri outscored Texas A&M from the free-throw line, 24-7, and outrebounded the Aggies in the contest, 39-24. A&M won the battle in points from beyond the 3-point arc, 15-3.
