NCAA Game Summary - Duquesne at George Washington

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Isaiah Armwood notched a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, as the George Washington Colonials routed the Duquesne Dukes, 71-57, in Atlantic 10 Conference action at the Smith Center.

Patricio Garino netted a game-high 17 points for the Colonials (18-4, 6-2 A-10), who have won six of their last seven games. Kevin Larsen and Nemanja Mikic chipped in with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Ovie Soko logged a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Dukes (10-11, 2-6), who have dropped five of their last seven. Dominique McKoy chipped in 14 points and eight boards, while Micah Mason scored 11 points.

In the opening half, the Colonials shot 48.4 percent from the floor, which include five 3-pointers, slightly better than the Dukes' 43.5 percent. George Washington took a 36-30 lead into halftime.

The second half was not kind to the Dukes, who struggled offensively, shooting just 27.8 percent from the floor, including a dreadful 0-of-13 from the perimeter. At the other end, the Colonials put the game away with a 44 percent performance, leading by as many as 19 points with 7:48 to play.

George Washington outscored the visitors 36-26 in the paint and 16-10 in points off turnovers.
