NCAA Game Summary - Oregon at Oregon State

Corvallis, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Roberto Nelson scored a game-high 22 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Oregon State Beavers took down the Oregon Ducks, 80-72, in a Pac-12 Conference clash at Gill Coliseum.

Eric Moreland pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and tallied 15 points, hitting on all but one of this 12 free-throw attempts, but just 2-of-12 from the floor for the Beavers (10-7, 2-3 Pac-12) as they won for the second time in the last three outings. Angus Brandt and Hallice Cooke pitched in with 14 and 10 points, respectively,

The Ducks (13-4, 1-4) were paced by Jason Calliste with 17 points, Richard Amardi 13 and Ben Carter 11 points, while Mike Moser contributed eight points and a team-best nine rebounds, but shot only 3-of-15 from the floor in the team's fourth straight setback.

Moser scored the first points of the meeting for Oregon, but from there the Beavers took over, moving out to a double-digit advantage in the period before settling in with a 37-30 lead at the break. The Ducks shot only 1-of-7 behind the 3-point line through the first 20 minutes, compared to 5-of-7 for the hosts.

In the second half OSU converted 50.0 percent from the field and also made good on 17-of-20 at the free-throw line in order to secure the win.

The Beavers outscored the visitors at the charity stripe, 27-18, helping them to overcome 20 turnovers.
