NCAA Game Summary - Florida Atlantic at Louisiana Tech

Ruston, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Michale Kyser finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to an 84-64 rout of the Florida Atlantic Owls in the Conference USA opener for each team at Thomas Assembly Center.

Alex Hamilton added 14 points and Cordarius Johnson chipped in 12 off the bench for Louisiana Tech (13-3), 1-0 C-USA), which has won four straight. Chris Anderson tacked on 10 points.

Jackson Trapp had 16 points for FAU (4-11, 0-1), which also got 12 points and 12 rebounds from Justin Raffington. D'Andre Johnson added 10 points and five assists, but hit on just 4-of-12 from the floor.

Louisiana Tech led by only three points (33-30) at halftime. The Bulldogs shot 35.1 percent from the field and turned in a 5-of-12 effort from the free-throw line. However, FAU had eight fewer field goal attempts and got just a single point from the charity stripe.

The Bulldogs pulled away in the second half by sinking 51.4 percent of their shots from the field. The Owls shot 42.4 percent in the frame.

Louisiana Tech outscored FAU, 24-10, off of turnovers and by a 48-38 margin in the paint.
