NCAA Game Summary - Texas Southern at TCU

Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyan Anderson scored 21 points and handed out seven assists to lead the Horned Frogs as TCU dispatched the Texas Southern Tigers, 77-64, in a non-conference duel at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Amric Fields posted a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds for TCU (9-3). Brandon Parrish added 13 points and Karviar Shepherd tacked on 10 points and blocked five shots. ' Aaric Murray and Jose Rodriguez each scored 18 points for Texas Southern (4-8). D'Angelo Scott pulled in 10 rebounds and Madarious Gibbs had 10 assists.

TCU went into the break, leading 40-34. The Horned Frogs hit on 48.5 percent of their shots from the floor, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc in the frame. Texas Southern fell off that pace, netting just 40.6 percent from the field.

After halftime the Horned Frogs cooled a bit, missing all four attempts from the 3-point distance and shooting 46.9 percent overall. However the Tigers shot just 38.7 percent and could not make up any ground.

Texas Southern actually outscored TCU in the paint (46-44). TCU scored 18 points off turnovers.
