NCAA Game Summary - George Washington vs. Creighton

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Larsen scored 14 points with six rebounds to lead George Washington to a 60-53 upset of 20th-ranked Creighton in the third place game of the inaugural Wooden Legacy.

Joe McDonald scored 12 points with five assists, while Isaiah Armwood added 12 points for the Colonials (6-1), who bounced back from Friday's loss to Marquette.

Ethan Wragge had 16 points and nine rebounds, while Grant Gibbs gave 12 points for the Bluejays (5-2), who have dropped their past two after opening the season with five straight wins.

An Armwood layup with just over four minutes to play gave George Washington a 48-47 lead, but Creighton countered on buckets from Austin Chatman and Gibbs to take the lead back.

After Jahenns Manigat put in a layup to give the Bluejays a 53-50 lead with just over two minutes to play, McDonald and Larsen countered with a pair of baskets for a 54-53 advantage.

Armwood then blocked a Gibbs layup, Maurice Creek stole the ball from Austin Chatman and hit two from the line with 14 seconds to play for a three-point lead.

Another foul on Creighton allowed Kethan Savage to put in two free throws and seal the victory.

George Washington led by as many as 13 points in the first half after Nemanja Mikic hit a 3-pointer for a 25-12 lead with under seven minutes to play, but Wragge scored the final four points of the half to cut the deficit to 32-24.
