NCAA Game Summary - Florida Atlantic at Boston College

Chestnut Hill, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Olivier Hanlan erupted for a game-high 38 points as the Boston College Eagles slipped by the Owls of Florida Atlantic, 82-79, as part of the 2K Sports Challenge.

Hanlan made good on 11-of-19 shots from the floor and 12-of-14 at the free- throw line for the Eagles (1-3) as they finally broke into the win column. Joe Rahon accounted for 17 points and seven rebounds for the hosts as well.

The Owls (1-3) were led by Pablo Bertone with his 27 points, converting half of his 20 field goal attempts, while Justin Raffington registered a double- double consisting of 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds before fouling out. Dragan Sekelja chipped in 11 points.

FAU led by as many as seven points less than three minutes into the first half, but the team allowed BC to connect on 52.0 percent from the field and 5- of-9 behind the 3-point line, giving the Eagles enough of an edge to claim a 39-34 lead at the break.

In the second half the hosts converted only 3-of-13 on the perimeter, but made up for it with 16-of-19 at the charity stripe in order to secure the win.

Boston College, which led by as many as 13 in the meeting, turned the ball over just eight times, leading to only nine points for the Owls.
