NCAA Game Summary - Alabama vs. Oklahoma

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Spangler recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds as he led the Oklahoma Sooners over the Alabama Crimson Tide, 82-73, in the season opener for both sides at the American Airlines Center.

Spangler shot 7-of-11 from the field for the Sooners (1-0) while Buddy Hield led the team in scoring with 19 points to go with six rebounds and a pair of makes from beyond the arc. Cameron Clark managed 14 points, six rebounds and three blocks. Jordan Woodard contributed 10 points and a game-high seven assists.

For the Crimson Tide (0-1), Algie Key tallied a game-high 20 points while making 7-of-8 shots from the floor. Rodney Cooper put together a double-double consisting of 10 points and 10 rebounds while Retin Obasohan scored 14 points and Trevor Releford added 12 points.

Alabama took a 41-40 lead into the intermission after shooting an impressive 56.7 percent from the floor in the first half.

The second half saw the Sooners take control. Oklahoma outscored the Crimson Tide,42-32, after going on a 10-1 run late in the half.

The Sooners did an excellent job of distributing the ball as the squad tallied 16 assists compared to just four for Alabama.
