NCAA Game Summary - Louisiana Tech at Utah State

Logan, UT (Sports Network) - Preston Medlin tallied 22 points to lead the Utah State Aggies to a 77-63 triumph over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in a Western Athletic Conference contest at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Kyisean Reed finished with 20 points and nine rebounds for the Aggies (13-12, 5-5 WAC), while Brockeith Pane handed out a game-high six assists. Utah State's victory ended its three-game losing streak.

Brandon Gibson and Raheem Appleby each scored 15 points for Louisiana Tech (11-13, 3-6). Gibson grabbed seven rebounds for the Bulldogs as they lost their third in a row.

Utah State took a narrow 35-32 lead into the intermission after it shot 48.1 percent from the field including 5-of-7 from three-point range in the opening period. The Bulldogs stayed close by hitting 41.4 percent of their field goals in the first half.

Medlin knocked down a three-pointer just under 10 minutes into the second half which extended Utah State's to 55-44. The Aggies expanded their advantage by hitting 63 percent of their field goals in the final 20 minutes. Louisiana Tech managed to make just 37.9 percent of its shots from the floor in the second half.

Utah State held a 35-29 advantage in the rebounding battle.
