Anderson (groin) will see a specialist Monday to determine whether or not his sports hernia will require surgery, Brett Dawson of the New Orleans Advocate reports.

Analysis:

Anderson has already missed seven games due to the ailment, adding to the Pelicans' already-crowded injury list. If surgery is deemed necessary, Anderson would miss the rest of the season, but coach Alvin Gentry noted that even if that's not the case Anderson could still miss the the Pelicans' remaining seven games. "It's more and more unlikely that we'll see [Anderson]," Gentry said.
