Pistons benefit from 6 missed calls in last 2 minutes of 1-point win over Bucks

The Detroit Pistons kept pace in the heated race for an Eastern Conference playoff spot Monday night, erasing a nine-point fourth-quarter deficit and escaping by the skin of their teeth against the Milwaukee Bucks.

For that, the Pistons can thank not only Andre Drummond - who tipped in the game-winner with two seconds left in regulation - but the game's officials. Those officials missed six calls in the final two minutes of the game, all of which should've gone against Detroit, according to the league's Last Two Minute Report.

Reggie Jackson got away with three fouls, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope got away with another. One of Jackson's fouls directly led to an offensive foul called against Bucks shooting guard Khris Middleton.

The game-winning play should've been dead before the inbounds pass was completed. Tobias Harris, the inbounder, moved his pivot foot and strayed from his established inbounding position. On the same play, Drummond set an illegal screen on Giannis Antetokounmpo, about five seconds before knocking in the go-ahead bucket.

The Bucks aren't playing for much more than pride at this point, but they narrowly missed out on a chance to play spoiler Tuesday night against a team in desperate pursuit of a playoff spot. The refs let the Pistons off the hook.
