A soon-to-be free agent, Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo virtually eliminated the New York Knicks from his list of potential landing spots last month when he claimed the triangle wasn't "really a good look" for him.

The apparent shot provoked then-Knicks head coach Derek Fisher to respond, saying, "You can't ask a player who wasn't very successful playing against it if he wants to play in it."

Rondo, whose Boston Celtics defeated Fisher's Los Angeles Lakers to win the title in 2008, wants the 41-year-old to know that his memory may not be the sharpest.

"He might've blacked out a couple of times," Rondo told Seth Walder of the New York Daily News. "We beat their ass in '08."

Although the Celtics won that series, the Lakers went on to beat Boston in a rematch two years later.

"They got us back in '10," Rondo admitted.

While Rondo was critical of the triangle offense in February, he conceded Sunday it's still a productive scheme.

"I think it's effective. I think it's great for team chemistry," he said. "When the ball gets moving, everyone touches the ball, you get a better feel for it."
