Russell Westbrook records 2nd straight triple-double, 14th of season

Russell Westbrook struggled through his worst shooting night of the season on Saturday and overcame seven turnovers to record his second consecutive triple-double in a tight victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Westbrook - who shot 4-of-17 from the field - posted 14 points, 14 assists, 11 rebounds, and a steal in 36 minutes of action, as his Oklahoma City Thunder escaped Indiana with a 115-111 win.

Westbrook moved three triple-doubles ahead of Draymond Green for the league lead, as he continues a torrid run that has seen him record six triple-doubles in his last 11 games over a span of 20 days. As a reference, only 17 other active players have even recorded six career triple-doubles.

Westbrook's 14 triple-doubles this season are also the most in one campaign since Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan recorded 17 and 15, respectively, during the 1988-89 season. If he can manage four more over Oklahoma City's final 12 games, which no longer seems out of the realm of possibility, Westbrook would have the most in one season in 48 years.
