When all is said and done, the Memphis Grizzlies might be the first D-League team to ever play in the NBA playoffs.

The Grizzlies, who are admirably clinging to the fifth seed in the Western Conference despite a disastrous injury list that's expanding by the day, are reportedly about to lose another rotation regular.

Second-year swingman P.J. Hairston is dealing with a strained groin, and is expected to miss "a couple weeks," according to Grizzlies radio and television host Chris Vernon.

That would put him on the shelf with virtually every other Memphis player who began the season on an NBA roster.

At least a couple of those are day-to-day injuries, with Lance Stephenson and Vince Carter currently being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the meantime, the Grizzlies have already added three guys - Ray McCallum, Briante Weber, and Alex Stepheson - on 10-day contracts, as well as signed center Ryan Hollins two weeks ago for the fourth time this season.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the Grizzlies will receive another hardship exemption, which they will use to add yet another 10-day guy out of the D-League - Xavier Munford of the Bakersfield Jam.

Munford, who has never played in an NBA game, is averaging 20.4 points and 6.4 rebounds, while shooting 49 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from 3-point range with Bakersfield.

The Grizzlies have managed some impressive wins despite being comically undermanned, but with more than half their roster sidelined Monday night, they lost by 49 points to the Houston Rockets.
