Beasley sets record for volume shooting with 19 FGA in 15 minutes

Michael Beasley has been given yet another chance in the NBA, and this time he seems intent on making the very most of it.

The two-time Chinese Basketball Association MVP was signed by the Houston Rockets last week after the CBA season ended, and Friday night against the Boston Celtics, he hoisted as many shots as humanly possible in his brief run off the bench.

Beasley played 15 minutes in the game, during which he attempted an incredible 19 field goals. That's the most shots anyone's taken while playing 15 minutes or less since at least 1984, which is as far back as Basketball-Reference's game-log database extends.

To be fair, Beasley grabbed a team-high five offensive rebounds, so several of those attempts came on putbacks in which he himself earned an extra possession. He also hit nine of his 19 attempts, a solid percentage (though they were all two-pointers) that gave him the Rockets' second-highest scoring total (18) in the game, behind James Harden's 32.

Now that we've been fair, that's still some pretty shameless chucking, and this was one of his attempts:

Welcome back, Beas.
