Analysis:

Chalmers was helped off the court in Wednesday's loss to Boston, and it was announced Thursday evening that he tore his achilles. As a result, the injury depleted Grizzlies were forced to waive him to free a roster spot. This is a tough break for Chalmers, who was averaging 22.5 minutes, 10.3 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game this season. Chalmers will likely be picked up by another team but he will not be able to play for the remainder of the 2016 season. With Chalmers gone, look for Briante Weber and Lance Stephenson to see heavier workloads going forward.
