The Memphis Grizzlies continue to drop like flies.

Already down to just eight healthy bodies, the Grizzlies lost point guard Mario Chalmers in the third quarter against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

Chalmers appeared to suffer a non-contact lower-leg injury while trying to change direction after a missed shot attempt. He crumpled to the floor clutching his right calf, and needed to be helped to the locker room.

The Grizzlies, who were already playing without starting point guard Mike Conley due to a sore left foot, officially labeled Chalmers' ailment it a right foot injury, and he didn't return to the contest.

Both the manner and location of the injury, however, suggest Chalmers may have injured his Achilles - as does what he reportedly told team trainers while being helped off the floor.

After the game, he was seen being rolled out of the locker room in a wheelchair, with his foot in a boot, while holding crutches. He'll have an MRI on Thursday.

Chalmers has played some of the best basketball of his career since being traded to Memphis from the Miami Heat early this season, averaging 10.8 points and 3.8 assists (17.1 and six per 36 minutes) with a career-high 18.1 PER coming into Wednesday's game.
