The Memphis Grizzlies are dropping like flies. Lance Stephenson, the team's leading scorer the past two games with several other players on the shelf, will not suit up Monday against the Houston Rockets due to a sprained wrist.

The injury leaves the Grizzlies with nine active players for the contest, three of whom are on 10-day contracts.

Stephenson joins Mike Conley (Achilles), Zach Randolph (knee), and Vince Carter (calf) on the sidelines. Franchise center Marc Gasol is already out for the season with a broken foot. Three players who started for Memphis in Saturday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks - Ryan Hollins, JaMychal Green, and Briante Weber - had less than 90 combined career NBA starts between them.

The Grizzlies signed Weber, Ray McCallum, and Alex Stepheson to 10-day deals as emergency measures over the last few days, and were also forced to cut Mario Chalmers after he suffered a season-ending Achilles tear.
