Steph Curry, Kemba Walker named NBA Players of the Week

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets have been named NBA Players of the Week for their respective conferences.

Curry added to his phenomenal 2015-16 campaign, leading Golden State to a 4-0 record for the week. The 28-year-old averaged 30.5 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.3 steals while shooting 46.2 percent from deep. Curry's week was highlighted by his 41-point, 13-rebound outburst against the Orlando Magic on Monday.

Like Curry, Walker led his squad to a perfect 4-0 week, averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 assists, and five rebounds per game on 51.6 percent from beyond the arc. The UConn product has been exceptional following the All-Star break, leading the Hornets to a 10-2 record.

Other nominees for the award included Paul Millsap of the Atlanta Hawks, DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, LaMarcus Aldridge of the San Antonio Spurs, and Emmanuel Mudiay of the Denver Nuggets.
