The Phoenix Suns announced Tuesday they signed swingman Chase Budinger. Terms of the deal weren't released.

The 27-year-old swingman spent 49 games with the Indiana Pacers after being traded for Damjan Rudez last offseason. Budinger was initially pegged to play small forward, but once Paul George settled into the role, playing time became scarce.

Squeezed for opportunities, Budinger asked the Pacers for a trade, and the team was happy to oblige. However, no deal was made available, so Indiana waived him. That's when Phoenix pounced.

An athletic spot-up shooter by trade, Budinger averaged 4.4 points per game while shooting 29 percent from the field with the Pacers this season.

The Suns also signed Alan Williams to a 10-day contract on Tuesday, making him the 23rd player to suit up for the squad in 2015-16.
