Warriors tie NBA record with 44th straight home victory

Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors tied an NBA record for most consecutive regular season home victories after grabbing their 44th straight win at Oracle Arena over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

The Chicago Bulls are the only other team to put together 44 straight home wins, a streak they accumulated from 1994-96.

After collecting a 19-game home winning streak in 2014-15, the Warriors have now won 63 of their last 64 home contests. Golden State's lone defeat was on January 27, 2015, when the Bulls collected a 113-111 overtime victory.

The Warriors (55-5) have a chance of breaking the record on Monday against the Orlando Magic.
