Cavs' Mo Williams to seek 2nd opinion on ailing knee
Mo Williams missed his second straight game with a sore left knee when Cleveland won in Oklahoma City on Sunday, and now the veteran Cavaliers guard is set to get a second opinion on the ailment.
According to the Akron Beacon Journal's Jason Lloyd, Williams will seek surgeon Dr. James Andrews' advice on Tuesday, after telling Lloyd that the knee has been bothering him all season and that a December injection didn't relieve the issue.
Williams, who rejoined the Cavs as a free agent last summer, is averaging 9.1 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game on an effective field goal percentage of 49.5. The 33-year-old has averaged just over 20 minutes per game in 34 appearances for Cleveland, who sits atop the Eastern Conference standings at 40-14.
