Report: Heat, doctors pressuring Bosh to sit out remainder of season

Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh is under increasing pressure from the team and doctors to sit out the remainder of the 2015-16 season, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, citing league sources.

Bosh will meet with Heat officials within the next 24 hours to discuss his status, Wojnarowski reports.

The 31-year-old has reportedly been taking blood thinners to treat a clot in his left calf. He's failed to see the court since dropping out of the All-Star Game less than two weeks ago.

If Bosh opts to sit out the rest of the season, it would be the second time he's done so due to blood clots, after missing the final 30 games of 2014-15.

The Georgia Tech product has reportedly looked for methods to play in 2015-16 while taking blood thinners, but has been met with heavy resistance by team officials.

The loss of Bosh would be a huge blow to the Heat, as he leads the team in points per game (19.1) and minutes per game (33.5), while also shooting 36.5 percent from three.
