Marc Gasol suffers foot injury vs. Blazers

Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol will not return to Monday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers after injuring his right foot at the end of the first quarter.

Gasol was in the midst of a great game prior to the injury, collecting 11 points, three rebounds, and two assists on 4-of-6 shooting in 11 minutes.

If the 7-foot-1 Spaniard misses an extended period of time, it will be a huge blow for Memphis, who are already without backup big man Brandan Wright.

Gasol is averaging 16.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists this season, while shooting a career-low 46.2 percent from the field.

Memphis (30-21) currently sits fifth in the Western Conference.
