Analysis:

Calderon participated in practice Monday and was optimistic about his chances of playing on Tuesday night, but will ultimately sit out of his fourth straight game. Coach Derek Fisher said Calderon is close to returning and could be back in action on Thursday when the Knicks take on the Pistons. Langston Galloway will continue to start in Calderon's absence.
