Suns rookie shooting guard Devin Booker has been the lone ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak season for Phoenix.

Booker - the 13th selection of the 2015 draft - will become the fourth rookie in NBA history to participate in the 3-point contest at All-Star Weekend in Toronto, Paul Coro of AZ Central reports.

Reigning champion Stephen Curry, Kyle Korver, and Dennis Scott are the only other rookies to have competed in the 3-point shootout.

Booker is the league's youngest player at 19 years old, so minutes were initially hard to come by. Injuries thrust him into a bigger role, though, and he's made the most of the opportunities.

He's averaging 16.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 32.3 minutes per game since Christmas. Booker has connected on 41.7 percent of his threes, which leads the rookie class.
