NEW YORK - Former NBA great Yao Ming will help provide instruction at the Basketball without Borders camp during All-Star weekend in Toronto.

Current players Danilo Gallinari of the Denver Nuggets, Bruno Caboclo and Bismack Biyombo of the hometown Toronto Raptors, Greivis Vasquez of the Milwaukee Bucks and Jeremy Lamb of the Charlotte Hornets also will work at the Feb. 12-14 camp at Mattamy Athletic Centre.

The NBA said Friday that 53 boys and girls from 27 countries will participate in the camp, run jointly by the NBA and FIBA. The camp includes staff members from a number of teams, including Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri.

Yao, the No. 1 pick in the 2002 draft, could be chosen a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame during All-Star weekend. Yao, whose success was a catalyst for basketball's growth in China, retired after the 2010-11 season.
