Report: Suns' Warren to miss remainder of season with broken foot

Phoenix Suns small forward T.J. Warren will miss the rest of the campaign due to a broken foot, reports Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic has indicated that Warren's injury will require surgery.

The second-year swingman had played in all but two of the Suns' 49 games to date, with his latest absence coming in Phoenix's loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

An MRI on Monday revealed a fracture in Warren's right foot.

The 22-year-old N.C. State alumnus had been making strides in 2015-16, seeing increases in most statistical categories. Averaging 22.8 minutes - roughly seven more than last season - Warren put up 11 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc.

With starting point guard Eric Bledsoe done for the year, the discontent of Markieff Morris still looming, and the team's recent coaching shuffle, this news serves as yet another obstacle for the 14-35 Suns, who currently occupy the 13th seed in the Western Conference.
