Dirk Nowitzki out against Timberwolves

Nowitzki (right knee swelling) will not participate Wednesday night against the Timberwolves, Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

The Dallas power forward is struggling with swelling in his right knee and will fail to see the floor when the Mavericks face Minnesota. With Nowitzki out, look for Dwight Powell and Charlie Villanueva to replace his minutes.
