"The Beard" is officially a member of the NBA's 10,000 club.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden scored his 10,000th career point (492 games) in a narrow 107-104 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night at the Toyota Center.

In 34 minutes, Harden dropped 27 points on 8-of-22 shooting. He went 2-of-10 from 3-point range, and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe.

He also chipped in 11 assists and three rebounds, although he did turn the ball over on six occasions.

It was the fifth game this season in which Harden scored 20 or more points and dished out 10 or more assists. Russell Westbrook and John Wall are the only players with more such games.

Harden has now scored over 20 points in each of his last five games, averaging 27.2 points during that span with the Rockets winning all five.

"Credit to the organization for helping me get there," Harden said of his milestone after the game, according to the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen. "But that’s just the beginning. I have a long way to go."
