Kings' Casspi expected to play Wednesday vs. Pelicans

Despite managing to split the last four games without Omri Casspi, the Sacramento Kings have missed the multi-faceted forward and his career-high 12.8 points and 6.7 rebounds, as well as his stupendous 47.7 percent shooting clip from beyond the arc.

Head coach George Karl had some good news on Monday, though, telling CSN Bay Area's James Ham that he expects his seven-year vet to be ready to go against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday after being sidelined with a back injury.

The 27-year-old looked good in practice Monday, giving Kings faithful hope for his return and contribution as the team attempts to earn their 16th win.

The Kings currently sit two games out of the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings behind the Utah Jazz, while the Pelicans trail Sacramento by three-and-a-half games.
