Wesley Matthews: One of several Mavs resting

Matthews is one of several Mavericks who will be rested for Wednesday's matchup with the Pelicans, Pelicans studio host Daniel Sallerson reports.

Analysis:

Dallas will hold out Deron Williams, Dirk Nowitzki and Zaza Pachulia, along with Matthews, one night after the team held off the Kings for a 117-116 double-overtime victory. At this point, it's unclear how coach Rick Carlisle will shuffle the starting lineup, but the likes of Devin Harris, J.J. Barea, Raymond Felton, Justin Anderson and John Jenkins should each see minutes boosts Wednesday. Expect Dallas to return with its regular lineup Friday in Milwaukee.
