Pacers' Turner returns to action vs. Bulls

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers will have their lottery pick from the 2015 NBA Draft back in the lineup Wednesday night at the United Center against their Central Division rivals.

Myles Turner will see his first minutes in roughly six weeks against the Chicago Bulls after recovering from surgery to repair a chip fragment in his left thumb, according to the Indy Star's Candace Buckner.

Head coach Frank Vogel said that Turner, 24, was rusty during practices, but appeared to be in good shape.

The injury occurred during the first half of Indiana's 102-91 victory over the Boston Celtics on Nov. 11.

In just eight appearances this season, Turner is averaging 6.1 points and 2.9 rebounds on 55.3 percent shooting from the field. He was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year during his one and only season with the Texas Longhorns, and was also a member of the third-team All-Big 12.
