Lee available to return for Celtics against Lakers

Leon Halip / USA TODAY Sports

David Lee is available to return from a two-game absence as the Boston Celtics host the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.

The Florida alumnus missed a pair of games due to back spasms, and his return is further good news for a Celtics squad that just got Marcus Smart back from an 18-game absence.

He's averaging 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in just 15.9 minutes - the least amount of floor time he's been given in his 11 years in the league.

The 32-year-old has had to split minutes with four other fellow Celtic big men - Jared Sullinger, Amir Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, and Tyler Zeller - in head coach Brad Stevens' crowded frontcourt.
