Pau Gasol 'not a fan' of deep-dish pizza

Newsflash: Pau Gasol plays for the Chicago Bulls but he doesn't like Chicago's deep-dish pizza.

The Bulls center sat down for an interview with GQ Magazine's Alex Wong in which he spoke about his love of food. Gasol dubbed himself an adventurous eater, saying that he tried food in South Africa and wasn't sure if it was lamb brains or pig intestines.

But when asked specifically about Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, he revealed it doesn't fit his taste:

I've tried it. I'm not a fan of this deep dish pizza. To me, it's just a cake of melted cheese. I like the thin-crusted pizzas better.

And just what is wrong with a cake of melted cheese?
