Lowry, DeRozan clown each other about shot selection
If there's one thing Kyle Lowry likes to do, it's mess with DeMar DeRozan while he's on camera - as seen here and here.
And after Lowry interrupted DeRozan for the umpteenth time during Sunday's practice, DeRozan fired back at his backcourt partner and good friend.
"See, here he go," DeRozan lamented. "Come on Kyle you always want to play. Do I mess with you when you're doing interviews?"
Lowry played it off cool, like he was getting a call from an Uber driver, but he was back at it moments later as he held a bottle like a microphone during a postpractice scrum.
Then, after Raptors TV analyst Sherman Hamilton dropped a question about DeRozan's improved field-goal percentage, Lowry cracked wise.
"Because you're not shooting dumb ass shots," Lowry said through a giggle.
"At least I get my shot off whenever I want," DeRozan fired back - a jab at the six-foot Lowry's short stature.
But the Raptors' crafty point guard had a comeback.
"After 38 pump fakes," Lowry added, which drew an infectious roar of snickers from DeRozan.
He did eventually give Lowry credit for his improved play.
"We just try to make it easier on everybody. We never leave nobody on an island, and Kyle's doing a great job of playcalling and understanding where I like to get the ball. When things like that come together, it makes it a lot easier on the court."
