Gregg Popovich had the perfect play written up for the San Antonio Spurs, which is why he was so vocal in wanting point guard Patty Mills to move the rock.

But then Manu Ginobili lost his shoe, which put a halt to everything:

Popovich's tune changed awfully fast, probably because he's a reasonable man who knows not much is going to get accomplished when one of his key players is missing a shoe.
