Carl Landry to finally suit up for 76ers

Bill Streicher / USA TODAY Sports

No player older than 25 has played a game for the Philadelphia 76ers this season, but 32-year-old forward Carl Landry, who was acquired in an offseason trade, will play his first game in a Sixers uniform Wednesday night, according to head coach Brett Brown.

Landry, late of the Sacramento Kings, has been sidelined since undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist this summer.

The Sixers' brass has complained about the team's lack of experience and leadership, pointing to that as one of the reasons they're off to the worst start (1-29) in NBA history.

Perhaps Landry can be the steadying presence the Sixers have been looking for, as they take aim at the Milwaukee Bucks in search of that elusive second win.

Landry averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 70 games for the Kings last season.
