Paul George questionable Wednesday with upper-respiratory infection

Paul George has yet to miss a game during his resurgent 2015-16 campaign, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 14-9 record that has them just a game-and-a-half out of the Eastern Conference lead.

He may be forced to sit for the first time Wednesday, though, when the Pacers host the Dallas Mavericks. George missed Tuesday's practice due to an upper-respiratory infection, and is considered questionable to suit up against the Mavs, Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Pacers head coach Frank Vogel remains confident that his star swingman will be able to play, according to Taylor.

George has cooled off some in the past two games after a torrid month-long stretch, scoring a combined 29 points on 9-of-29 shooting. For the season, he's averaging career highs in points (26.5), rebounds (7.8), and assists (4.1), while shooting a career-best 43.3 percent from 3-point range. The Pacers have been eight points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor.
