Nuggets' Mudiay suffered sprained ankle vs. Timberwolves
Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports
Denver Nuggets rookie Emmanuel Mudiay was forced to leave Friday night's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a sprained ankle.
Mudiay has shown flashes of great play during his first NBA season, but has struggled mightily overall. Through 22 games, the 19-year-old point guard is shooting 31.3 percent from the field, and posting a player efficiency rating of 7.17.
Jameer Nelson should see extended minutes if Mudiay is forced to miss any more time. The 14-year veteran took over the point guard duties against the T-Wolves on Friday night.
