Rodney Hood ejected for body check on Sasha Vujacic

Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood was ejected from Wednesday night's game against the New York Knicks for a hard foul on Sasha Vujacic.

With Vujacic on his way for a breakaway layup, Hood managed to catch up to him, sending him hard into the base of the net.

The sudden burst of aggression by Hood was a little surprising considering his team had a sizable lead at the time. However, he did struggle shooting the basketball and Vujacic is a player renowned for being one of the most irritating competitors in the league.

Vujacic had been getting under people's skin the entire night, even shushing the crowd at one point despite the fact his team was down by 25 at the time.

Hood finished with just five points on the night. The 6-foot-8 Duke alumnus is averaging 12.3 points and 2.9 assists for the year.
