Rockets' Ariza injures back, leaves game vs. Nets after hard fall
Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports
The Houston Rockets will be without starting swingman Trevor Ariza for the remainder of Tuesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Ariza went to the locker room in the first quarter after getting bumped in midair on a drive to the basket and going down hard.
He suffered a bruised lower back on the play, and will not return.
Ariza shot 1-of-3 for two points in four minutes before the injury. For the season, he's averaging 12 points, 5.6 rebounds, and two steals per game.
