DeAndre Jordan ties NBA record for most missed free throws in a game
The Portland Trail Blazers landed Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan in the record books on account of their hacking strategy and his notorious futility at the charity stripe.
Jordan missed 22 free throws in Monday's 102-87 victory over the reeling Blazers, which tied Wilt Chamberlain's mark for most misses in a game.
He made just 12-of-34 attempts, but finished with 18 points and 24 rebounds in the win.

After the game, Clippers forward Blake Griffin admitted that Hack-a-Jordan had disrupted his team's rhythm.
"Obviously, (fouling Jordan) disrupted the flow," said Griffin, who scored 15 of his 23 points in the first half. "I don't know exactly how much we were up when they started, but the great thing about it was that we were getting one point every time and we were stopping them on their end."
Of course, the Blazers are hardly the first team to employ the Hack-a-Jordan strategy. Jordan famously attempted 34 free throws in a playoff game against the Houston Rockets in last year's playoffs, which stirred up something of a referendum on the validity of intentional fouling.
Still, despite the unseemliness of Jordan's continued struggles at the line, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers doesn't necessarily want to see the rule changed.
"I guess it does hurt the game, clearly," Rivers said. "I'm not in favor of changing the rule. Some days I am; today I was. It's just a tough one."
Jordan, who's shooting an unthinkable 37.9 percent from the charity stripe this season, took it all in stride.
"It's just more practice," he said.
