Warriors go to 19-0 after getting scare from Jazz

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Winning on the road against the Utah Jazz has never been easy for anyone, even the historically good Golden State Warriors.

The Jazz played the Dubs closer than any team has all season, but came out on the short end of a 106-103 score Monday night in Salt Lake City. With the win, Golden State extended its NBA-record win streak to begin a season to 19 games, and moved into third place all-time in terms of consecutive regular season league victories with 23 (dating back to last season), surpassing the 2007-08 Houston Rockets.

The three-point margin of victory was the Warriors' tightest this season. Only two other teams have lost to them by five points or less over the 19-game winning streak: the Los Angeles Clippers and the Toronto Raptors.

Stephen Curry led the way with 26 points, while Draymond Green flirted with a third straight triple-double, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Klay Thompson added 20 points of his own. Curry and Thompson each hit four treys. The game was tied with less than a minute left when Curry gave the Dubs the lead for good with a 26-foot 3-pointer.

The Warriors continue their road trip next in two cities Curry grew up in: Charlotte and Toronto.
