Steve Kerr has the best responses to the Curry vs. Jordan debates

The comparisons between the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors, and the legendary 72-win 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, have been done to death.

But that hasn't stopped people from picking sides between today's golden boy Stephen Curry, and old-school legend Michael Jordan - which continues to baffle Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who's currently recovering from back surgery.

In an interview with ESPN's Ethan Sherwood Strauss, Kerr - who was also a member of the 72-win Bulls as a player - clearly knows how ridiculous the subject is, but plays along anyway:

So, what are your initial thoughts on this very realistic matchup?

Kerr: My initial thoughts are that it is literally impossible to even compare, because the rules are so different and the eras are so different. We would overload the strong side on (Michael) Jordan, and they would call illegal defense; and they would put their hands all over (Stephen) Curry, and the refs would call a foul. That make sense?

While Kerr did discuss a potential Draymond Green-Dennis Rodman matchup, and also gave some advice to himself from the future ("Don't have back surgery"), he refused to give a hypothetical score for this scenario.

"Yeah. I refuse to comment on the score of this hypothetical game that would never happen," explained Kerr.

But then, ESPN's Strauss hit him with a caveat: What if the game took place in space?

But what if it takes place on Pluto?

Kerr: Oh, well if it takes place on Pluto, then I believe it would hinge on a step-back Steph Curry 3 over Michael Jordan at the buzzer. And we'll never know if it goes in or not.

Perfect.
