Rudy Gay: In line to play Monday

Gay (shoulder) participated in Monday's morning shootaround and said afterward that he would return to the Kings' lineup later in the evening against the Hornets, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis:

Gay, who first suffered the left shoulder strain last Thursday against the Heat, was forced to miss one game with the injury, but it doesn't look like his absence will extend beyond that. The small forward's return will likely result in a move back to the bench for Darren Collison, who entered the lineup Saturday against the Magic with Gay sidelined. With his health seemingly secure heading into the week, Gay's fantasy owners should feel more than comfortable keeping him active.
